NaturalShrimp, Inc., Natural Aquatic Systems (NAS) and Hydrenesis, Inc. Sign Agreement with Hanilu Farms to Replace Their Floating Bed Bioremediation with Hydrogas Technology for Better Efficiencies in Barramundi Aquaculture

Dallas, Texas, Sept. 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- NaturalShrimp, Inc. (SHMP), the aquaculture company that developed and patented the first commercially-operational RAS for shrimp, and its majority-owned, technology subsidiary, Natural Aquatic Systems, announced with Hydrenesis today that they have signed a 5-year agreement with Hanilu Farms of Indiana to operate their Hydrogas water treatment system. Hanilu Farms came to us with the goal of reducing their mortality and feed rate while increasing grow out stock that have limited the full potential of indoor barramundi aquaculture to date.

The international aquaculture industry is growing annually. The finfish industry is one of the most developed industries and are generally adopters of new technologies. The Barramundi industry has been one of the major targets for Hydrenesis and Natural Aquatic Systems for this proof of concept work. This new agreement with Hanilu Farms provides another milestone in testing our platform to achieve a more efficient treatment solution for indoor Barramundi.

Gerald Easterling, President of NaturalShrimp, commented: “We continue to expand our aquaculture capabilities after our initial focus of bringing shrimp to market, and with this additional agreement, we are poised to expand our capabilities to indoor farm raised barramundi as well.”

Leland Meador, CEO of Hanilu Farms, stated: “The Hydrogas technology has proven effective in both my nursery and grow out tanks in terms of survivability and feed conversion rates.”

Peter Letizia, CEO of F&T Water Solutions, added: “Hanilu Farms demonstrates the effectiveness in indoor aquaculture of our industry leading Hydrogas® technology as compared to the standard bioremediation water exchange treatments.”

Luke Timmons, COO of Hydrenesis, said:  “We are very happy to expand our capabilities to Barramundi with our latest endeavors at Hanilu Farms. We have a great partner in Leland Meador and we look forward to the opportunities that we are pioneering with Natural Aquatic Systems and Hydrogas Technology.”
